Experience Hampton
Centuries later, in 1948, the site was preserved by the National Park Service based on the architectural significance of the mansion. In 1980 the Lower Farm, including original slave quarters and farmhouse, was added to the site. Today there are 62.04 acres to explore.
Visit Hampton
Hampton National Historic Site is open year round, with the exception of some federal holidays. The scenic grounds are open to pedestrian access every day, even on holidays when the parking lots and visitor center may be closed.
